Contemporary Assemblage By Bo Sällström
This large contemporary assemblage by Swedish artist Bo Sällström has a strong visual character. It is a assemblage with volume that has an intriguing three-dimensionality to it. This assemblage is made of multiple layers of newspaper pressed together in oblong strips which are then sporadically painted in white and black acrylic paint. The total effect is rustic and minimalistic that despite its subtle coloring becomes vivid because of its structural uneven surface. It is an eye-catcher and a highly decorative artwork.

The artwork carries a new bespoke floating frame made sustainably from one old mahogany beam which is sourced directly from our local wood workshop partner and was in surplus from a bookcase design. The assemblage is signed and dated on its reverse side, but it can only be viewed by disassembling the artwork from its floating frame.
